PURPOSE:To prevent the staining around an ink tank due to the overflowing of ink which is excessively filled in the ink tank from an ink cartridge. CONSTITUTION:An ink cartridge 24 is constituted by providing a slidable piston 34 in a cylinder 37 which is filled with ink, and the ink in the cylinder is discharged from a discharge port 29 being formed at a protruding part which is provided at the leading end of the ink cartridge 24. Around the discharge port 29 of the cartridge 24, an ink storage part 26 being equipped with a porous substance ink absorbing member 27 is provided, and the discharge port 29 is inserted in a replenishing port 30 of an ink tank 7. Therefore, the absorbing member 27 comes into contact with an air hole 32 of the ink tank 7 under a replenishing condition, and an overflowed ink from the air hole 32 is absorbed and recovered. |
