PURPOSE:To readily obtain the subject aqueous solution stable for a long period, readily converted into its high polymer by an oxidative treatment, and useful for microcapsules, etc., by reducing gliadin in an aqueous solution containing a solubilizing agent and subsequently removing the excessive solubilizing agent. CONSTITUTION:The production of the reduction type gliadin aqueous solution comprising immersing wheat gliadin in a 5M urea aqueous solution, adding sodium dodecylsulfate as a solubilizing agent and 2-mercaptoethanol as a reducing agent, hermetically sealing the container, reducing the gliadin at 40 deg.C for 5hr with vibration-stirring, cooling the reaction mixture to room temperature, centrifuging the cooled solution, charging the supernatant into a cellophane tube, and subsequently subjecting the tube to a dialysis with a 0.2wt.% aqueous solution of 2-mercaptoethanol to remove the excessive solubilizing agent. Being stable for a long period and readily converted into its high polymer by an oxidative treatment the objective reduced gliadin aqueous solution can be formed into microcapsules, films, and other various shape products, and can be utilized as a biodegradable polymer raw material for cosmetics, medicines, industrial chemicals, beverages, foods, etc. |
