PURPOSE:To provide a smooth muscle cell-originated wandering factor enabling to diagnose or determine the formation of the focus of arterial sclerosis from its early time by measuring the concentration of the wandering factor in urine or blood with an antibody, etc. CONSTITUTION:The smooth muscle cell-originated wandering factor is obtained by purifying the supernatant of the serum-free culture solution of a mammalian aortic smooth muscle cell, has a mol.wt. of 50000-60000 by a SDS polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis method under a non-reducing condition and a mol.wt. of 50000-60000 under a reducing condition, and comprises a single strand structure protein exhibiting a wandering activity on the smooth muscle cells. |
