PURPOSE:To reduce the density unevenness of a recording image, caused by the nonuniformity of the discharge characteristics of a plurality of discharge ports for a recording head. CONSTITUTION:A recording is performed while relatively moving a recording head 1, on which a specified number of discharge ports are arranged to a recording paper 2, in the diagonal direction, and areas 21 and 22 which are recorded in this manner are connected in order, and recording is performed on the whole body of the recording paper 2. By this method, respective picture elements of lines in the longitudinal and lateral directions on the recording paper 2 are recorded by a specified number of different discharge ports. |
