PURPOSE:To provide a serviceable rice cooker having an angle adjusting mechanism capable of readily varying the angle of opening of a lid. CONSTITUTION:A brake mechanism 20 is provided on the frame panel 9 of a main-body side hinge portion, and an angle adjusting mechanism 30 for a lid 6 is provided which comprises adjustment 34 having an inclined face 34a at its lower portion and inserted into a through hole 31 provided through the frame panel 9 in proximity to the brake mechanism 20; a supporting member 35 disposed on the through hole 31, having its upper side formed into a shape almost conforming to that of the pressure receiving portion 6a of a lid 6, and having one end rotatably mounted on axis to the frame panel 9; and a screw hole 32 which is provided perpendicular to the through hole 31 and in which an adjusting screw 33 for vertically moving the adjustment 34 by abutting to the inclined face 34a of the adjustment 34 is threadedly engaged. |
