PURPOSE:To obtain a steel plate wherein corrosion resistance and strength are maintained and overflow of boiling liquid can be wiped off by a method wherein a fluororesin film is laminated onto the surface of a plate the surface of which has been roughened in a reduced pressure furnace and the film is thermally softened and pressed against the surface of the plate and immediately after being passed through the furnace, the film is pressed against the roughened surface under atmospheric pres sure. CONSTITUTION:Sand blast is applied to the surface of a steel plate to form primary recesses (d1) and secondary recesses (d2) are formed by the action of mineral acid. A fluororesin film Ff is introduced into a reduced pressure furnace (fu) from above so as to be pressed by a roll (y1) against the surface of the plate wherein recesses (d1, d2) have been formed and which has been heated to a temperature to soften or melt the film Ff. Just after the steel plate has passed the furnace (fu), the surface F of the film Ff is strongly pressed into the recesses (d1, d2) because the atmospheric pressure is larger than the air pressure (po) in the recesses. A final finishing roll (y2) smoothens the surface Ff. As a result, an overflow of boiling liquid can be easily wiped off from the surface treated steel plate. |
