PURPOSE:To remarkably increase the performance of infrared ray detector, by constituting the shape of aperture of cold aperture so that the visual angle viewed from each detection element is equal. CONSTITUTION:When the shape of the aperture of the cold aperture 2 regulating the incident light of the infrared ray detection element array 3 is made narrower at the center and broader at the both ends, then the visual angle to the aperture 2 of each detection element is equal. Thus, the difference of the output signal of each detection element due to the difference of visual angle is avoided and the detection elements of the same sensitivity are located from the center to the both ends. The visual angle from each element can be obtained by using the vertical distance up to the aperture 2 and horizontal distance, and width of the aperture 2 through operation. With this constitution, uniform output signal can be obtained to each detection element and the performance can remarkably be increased. |
