PURPOSE:To make it possible to quickly detect in a short time the place of a small leakage current occurred at an electrolytic capacitor in field or during production process. CONSTITUTION:A package and a cathode layer of an electrolytic capacitor are removed thereby leaving only an anode body 10; then, pyrrole, which causes polymerization and precipitation in a short time even though a small electric current of several microampares is applied, and sodium naphthalenesulfonate are added to an aqueous solution 11, an anode body 10 is immersed in said solution 11, a positive voltage is applied to this anode body 10, and then the source of occurrence of the leakage current can be determined by the black color of a polymerized substance precipitated by the electrolytic polymerization. |
