PURPOSE:To attain the correction of a temperature change in a sensor output and a drift or the like and to attain highly precise position detection without need for an external analog adjustment circuit. CONSTITUTION:The method is a position detection method to obtain the position of a bearing 130 and a lens 120 or the like being measurement objects by fetching a repetitive period waveform to process data, and the measurement objects 120, 130 are moved for one period of a repetitive period waveform or over and an offset and a gain of the repetitive period waveform are obtained based on a maximum value and a minimum value of the repetitive period waveform fetched at that time. Then the gain and the offset of data are corrected to generate correction data by using the offset and gain of the repetitive period waveform and the position of the measurement objects is detected by processing the correction data. |
