PURPOSE:To handle an arbitrary color in a standardized state by replacing standard color data with the original standard color data in image data, and converting a standard color so as to be used for a output device. CONSTITUTION:By an instruction of an instruction input part 312, input image data inputted to an image data input part 321 through an input route 301 is sent to an image data analyzing part 322 through an route 325 at every line. The image data analyzing part 322 analyzes the received line data is a color information description or not. Also, when it is confirmed that a standard color is used, its color name, that is, a standard color discrimination code is analyzed, and a color number is obtained. Subsequently, a color information description converting part 323 generates line data of a new color information description from the analyzed line data which is sent and standard color data obtained from a memory part 34, it is transmitted to an image data output part 324 through a route 328, and standard color information in all color information descriptions is replaced with standard color information from a standard color data file 340beta. |
