PURPOSE:To obtain a color filter in which the scattering intensity of light transmitted from filter changes and visible ray is strongly scattered by dispesing and incorporating pigment particles of specified average particle size into color mosaics. CONSTITUTION:A metal chromium BM layer 12 is formed in 10mum width and 0.5mum thickness on a glass substrate, into which pigment particles 16 of 300-500nm average particle size are dispersed and incorporated. Further a resist is applied on the substrate, prebaked exposed, developed and subjected to post baking treatment to form color mosaics R13, G14, B15 having 3mum thickness and 100mum width. The RGB color mosaics 13-15 are formed by successively changing the kinds of pigment particles 16 according to the order of RGB, and the treatment of resist coating to the post baking is repeated three times. As for pigment particles, dianthraquinone as red pigment, copper halide phthalocyanine as green pigment and coppr phthlocyanine as blue pigment are used. After forming these RGB color mosaics, an overcoating layer 17 of acryl resin is formed thereon. |
