An arrangement designed for dividing a chip or fibre board 2 which is carried or held in place on a conveyor belt 1 in order to cross-cut the board or divide it into strips 10, which arrangement comprises a member 4 to carry out the cross-cutting or dividing. The invention has been worked out so that the member 4 which does the cross-cutting or dividing is a vibrating element which has been placed above the conveyor belt 1, near the belt or effectively attached to it, and in which element there is a pointed tip 6, in the chipboard's advancing direction, which divides the board. <IMAGE>
