PURPOSE:To provide a transfer roller without change in resistance by atmospheric conditions and hardly weared after long-term use. CONSTITUTION:This transfer roller 1 is formed by allowing a resin layer 3 to adhere to an electrically conductive core metal 2. The resin layer 3 has 10<7>-10<10>OMEGA.cm volume resistivity. By specifying the volume resistivity of the resin layer 3 in this range, changes in resistance of the roller 1 due to atmospheric conditions can be substantially avoided. By forming the resin layer 3, the wear of the transfer roller 1 in the outer diameter can be suppressed to a small amt after use for a long time.
