PURPOSE:To obtain an IC memory card camera system in which the writing or reading of information to an IC memory card which records the picture information of a camera from a computer side. CONSTITUTION:This system is constituted of a camera 1 which records the image picked-up picture information in the IC memory card, and a computer 2 which operates the writing and reading of the information to the IC memory card. The camera is equipped with a picture information writing and reading circuit 116 for an IC memory card 3, and an interface circuit 117 for the computer. Also, the computer is equipped with a connecting part with which the camera is electrically connected, and when both the camera and the computer are connected, the writing and reading of the information to the IC memory card can be attained from the computer side by using the writing and reading circuit of the camera.
