PURPOSE:To consume a gel without waste while enabling analysis by a normal electrophoresis by covering the gel with a protective film while a sample supply area and an electrode connection area alone are exposed from a window of the protective film. CONSTITUTION:A sheet-shaped gel 1 having a protrusion 2 at one end thereof is covered with a bag-shaped protective film 3 comprising a resin. Two windows 4 and 5 for electrode connection are formed in an electrode connection area near both ends of the gel 1 in the protective film 3 and a window 6 for feeding a sample is formed in an area to which a liquid sample is supplied to the gel 1. In analysis, the sheet-shaped gel 1 is placed on a bed of an apparatus while electrodes are connected to the gel 1 through the windows 4 and 5 of the protective film 3. When a lid of an analyzer is closed, a comb tooth of a sample supplier 7 contacts the gel 1 through the window 6 so that a sample S on the tip of the tooth permeates into the gel 1. Thereafter, the sample supplier 7 is lifted and a voltage is applied between the electrodes to perform a sample analysis. |
