PURPOSE: To lower the magnetic moment by heating the boundary between a magnetic film and the patterned films of germanium to a specific temp. CONSTITUTION: A disk 12 consists of Al, glass or plastic and recording tracks 14, 15 are selected from a group of Ni, Fe, Co or their alloys. Materials 16, 17, 18 consist of compds. contg. the elements similar to the elements selected for recording tracks and have ferromagnetic characteristics. The disk 12 has a photoresist layer on a front surface 22 and is exposed by the patterns. The boundary between the surface of the ferromagnetic material and the first material selected from the group consisting of the germanium and silicon is formed. The boundary is heated to at least 150 deg.C. As a result, the first material is diffused into the ferromagnetic material and the magnetic moment is lowered. |
