PURPOSE: To obtain waveguide parts which have superior characteristics and a lighter weight and can be manufactured at a lower cost by forming a waveguide, the container of which has an internal surface coated with electroless-plated copper, so as to transmit microwave energy. CONSTITUTION: Molded waveguide parts contain two basic parts, namely, a central feed structure and an interconnecting waveguide structure 30. The feed structure is assembled by bonding four molded parts to each other, so that the finished molded waveguide parts can have a desired dimension, when the structure 30 is electroless-plated with copper. The electroless copper plating is made on the structure 30, when the structure is successively assembled after manufacture. The structure 30 is assembled by bonding the half portions of two molded parts, respectively constituting a bas 31 and a cover 32 to each other. At the time of bonding the base 31 and cover 32 to each other, a one- component epoxy adhesive is used. |
