PURPOSE:To provide the semiconductor device which can decide whether or not data written in (n) registers are correct by one comparing circuit and finds a malfunctioning register. CONSTITUTION:A selector 8 is connected to an input signal group 3 and an output signal group 4 as input and output signals of the registers and the comparing circuit 5 compares input data and output data as to a signal selected by the selector. When data is written in a register 1 with a write signal 2, the input data an output data are compared on the basis of a comparison timing signal 6; and a coincidence or discrepancy result is outputted from a comparison result output 7, thereby deciding whether or not the data written in the register 1 is corrected. Further, a register which has malfunctioned can be found. |
