METHOD AND DEVICE FOR PERFORMING NAVIGATION TO CONCEALED WINDOW ON DESK TOP

PURPOSE: To execute automatic navigation to a concealed window in a multitask window environment. CONSTITUTION: A user can execute plural application programs in a multitask window environment. When these applications display windows 32 and 33 on a desktop 31, the desktop is crowded, and several windows are concealed by other windows. An automatic navigation function which preferentially moves the window having a maximum degree of concealment to the foreground is provided. A queue consisting of pointers which indicate concealed windows and their degrees of concealment is kept for the purpose of determining priority levels of windows to be moved to the foreground, and windows are moved based on this queue.
