<p>PURPOSE:To obtain an electrophotographic developer not having a failure in blade cleaning and a void phenomenon in an image solid part by specifying the grain diameter distribution and average grain diameter of a developer, respectively. CONSTITUTION:A photosensitive drum 1 uniformly electrified by an electrifying charger 2 is irradiated with light (l) from an exposing light 10, to form an electrostatic latent image. Then, the electrostatic latent image is developed in such a manner that the developer is supplied from a developing machine 3 provided near to the photosensitive drum 1. At this time, the developer including 0.2-30 volume % developer grain whose diameter is <=2mum and simultaneously, having D<=9mum volume average grain diameter is supplied from the developing machine 3. The fine developer grain whose diameter is <=2mum exists on the top end part of the cleaning blade 9, that is, a part where the edge of the blade 9 comes into contact with the drum 1 to serve as a lubricant and the movements of the cleaning blade 9 and the drum 1 are made smooth by the grain as the lubricant, so that the failure in the cleaning is suppressed.</p> |
