The machine for straightening a metal wire has a device (6) for drawing wire unwound from a coil across a device (4,5) comprising several elements spaced from its rectilinear trajectory. The device comprises at least a support (14,15), which is rotatable about an axis (22) coinciding with the direction of traction of the wire. The wire drawing device carries several rings (21) rotatably mounted around their axis and shifted from each other along the axis of the support. The rings are traversed by the wire to be straightened. Each ring is fixed by means of ball bearings in a ring support (23), which includes a regulator (25,28) of its distance to the support axis. ADVANTAGE - Allows exact alignment of direction of rotation of ring along helical trajectory from point of contact on wire. Rings rotate without slipping on wire.
