PURPOSE:To obtain a structure giving high traveling reliability and long life of a magnetic recording medium for a magnetic recording/reproducing device in which a recording and reproducing are performed by arranging the magnetic recording medium in a helical form on a drum. CONSTITUTION:The traveling courses from a supply reel 2 to the drum 9 and from the drum 9 to a take-up reel 13 are formed so that breadthwise directions of the magnetic recording medium 3 on each traveling course faces respectively in the same direction. And, revolving shafts of the supply reel 2 and take-up reel 13 are constituted so as to be inclined.
