The invention relates to a plate-like water aeration device. In order to achieve a simple, yet effective construction of this device, according to the invention a plate having air passage holes has arranged thereon a layer of fabric which is covered by a thin rubber slab. This slab has many fine slits for the passage of the air and, with its angled edges, bears on the lateral faces of the plate.
