<p>PURPOSE:To automatically weld material sheets at a high efficiency by melting the cut end of one blank sheet together with the leading end of the succeeding material sheet by means of a detector mounted at the end of the blank sheet on the process and cutter at the leading end of the succeeding blank sheet tentatively set above the blank sheet being fed from a sheet feeding section. CONSTITUTION:The initial end A'' of the sheet A' from a sheet feeding section 2' for the succeeding use is tentatively set above a running cource of the sheet A fed from a sheet feeding section 2 separated from the sheet A. The sheet feeding section 2 in process is provided with an electromagnetic section 3 along the sheet. The completion of treating the sheet is detected through energization upon contact of the electromagnetic section with a sheet core tube made of a magnetic substance and is timely cut at a proper point of the end thereof by a cutting section 6. Then, the cut end of the sheet A overlaps the initial end of the subsequent sheet A'' and they are joined together by heat melting at the joint 7. Thus, the sheet A' starts to be fed from the subsequent sheet feeding section 2'.</p> |
