Compounds of formula (I), and salts and prodrugs thereof wherein X represents O or S; R<1> represents optionally substituted phenyl; R<2> represents optionally substituted phenyl; R<3> and R<4> each independently represent H, COR, CO2R or C1-6alkyl optionally substituted by a group selected from (CO2R, CONRR, hydroxy, cyano, COR, NRR, and phenyl optionally substituted by C1-6alkyl, C1-6alkoxy, halo or trifluoromethyl); R<5> represents H or XCH2R<6> wherein R<6> represents optionally substituted phenyl and X is as previously defined; R<7> and R<8> are each H or C1-6alkyl; and R and R each independently represent H, C1-6alkyl, phenyl or trifluoromethyl; are tachykinin receptor antagonists useful in therapy.
