A container consists of a lid (2) and of a lower part (1) of which one or both are produced from a deep-drawable foil. Lid and lower part may be mechanically coupled to each other by means of a mechanical closure zone (21) and may be at the same time hermetically sealed to each other by means of an independent sealing zone (20) radially offset outwards. The arrangement is designed in such a way that once the sealing zone is undone for the first time the lid (2) may be used for closing again the container by means of the mechanical closure zone (21). The sealing material used to produce the sealing zone does not form a sealing layer of the foil, but is integrated or embedded in a foil matrix material (9) and is exuded out onto the contact surface during sealing in order to form a sealing film.
