METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PREPARING MIXTURES WITH COMPRESSED FLUIDS

Methods and apparatus are disclosed for forming a liquid spray mixture containing accurately proportionated amounts of viscous coating concentrate (12) and compressed fluid diluent (10) such as carbon dioxide. The proportioning is accomplished by passing the fluid diluent through two sets of flow restrictors (24, 26) under the same pressure drops to form two proportioned flows of diluent. One diluent flow is converted by volumetric displacement (32) to an equal flow of liquid concentrate, which is mixed (28) with the other diluent flow to form the liquid spray mixture.
