A hair dye based on powdered direct dyes on a synthetic and/or natural substrate, opt. with the usual hair dye additives, is in the form of a granulate contg. guar flour. The dye compsns. contains powdered natural vegetable and/or animal components contg. natural direct dye(s), or may contain direct synthetic dye(s). ADVANTAGE - The dyes are easily measured out, form lump-free pastes with water, have good flow and bonding on the hair, and can easily be rinsed off with water. Natural hair colours can be strengthened or modified and the required colour can be obtd., esp. on white hair. The dye compsn. does not form dust during use, reducing the risk of allergy. The hair is glossy and strong and can be permanently waved.
