The alarm system has at least one halogen floodlight with a housing (1) in which an emitter (2) is fastened and connected to a current supply. The housing (1) has a light outlet aperture cut out of a glass pane (5). The pane (5) is arranged under a frame pivotable with respect to the housing (1). The frame is releasably connected to the housing (1) at the side opposite the pivot axis. The system also has a contact rack (7) with a cover (8), on the housing (1) to receive electronic/electric components of the floodlight. A bracket (6) pivotably connected to the housing (1) attaches the floodlight. The floodlight is also connected to an alarm system central unit. The central unit monitors the input current of the floodlight when it is switched on and triggers an alarm when the current exceeds a given value. The central unit monitors the Ohmic resistance of the floodlight when it is switched off and triggers an alarm when the resistance exceeds a given value. ADVANTAGE - System cannot be made inoperable due to unauthorised tampering.
