Fixing means are provided for fixing the housing (1) made of plastic to the suction pipe of an IC engine. An electrically conducting layer (7) is arranged on the surface of the plastic housing (1) for the purpose of heating the housing i.e. during cold starts. The electrically conducting layer is specifically a plastic layer, and is arranged in the throttle opening (2) of the housing (1), specifically on the outer surface (8) of the housing (1). The bearing bores (6) of the housing (1) remain clear of the layer. ADVANTAGE - Mfd. easier and with small retooling costs with simpler and more effective heating means.
