<p>A water closet flushing device operates by releasing a quantity of water (12), thereby causing overpressure in the hermetically closed bowl (1). The flushing device comprises a control push button means (9), means (10) for transmitting the push button (9) movement, said movement transmission means (10) acting to control the movable assembly (11) of the flushing unit (13) whose base is provided with a valve which actuates the water release plug (12), a sealing means (36) providing a seal between the bowl (1) and the transmission means (10), a return spring (14) urging back the mechanism when the button (9) is not depressed.
