A device for testing electronic ignition control modules has a trigger circuit (160) for providing a series of pulses to the module being tested, a load circuit (Fig. 12), and an indicator (44) responsive to the load circuit for indicating acceptability of the module. The pulse rate of the trigger circuit is variable to simulate a wide range of engine speeds. An indication of the load current output by the module provides an indication of the module's condition. A plurality of threaded studs (32, 34, 36 and 38) extend perpendiculary from a corresponding plurality of copper surfaces (16 and 20) to provide a grounded mounting surface for the module under test. Each threaded stud and copper surface is associated with a dedicated set of electrical connectors (72, 76, 80, 82 and 84) to which the complementary ignition module connector is connected to provide electrical connection to the device. |
