<p>A fill-in light emitting apparatus has a system (76, 62) for measuring the colour temperature of the external light and a colour temperature controlling mechanism 60, 74 for varying the colour temperature of the illumination light 10 in accordance with measured colour temperature data. Signals from a colour detector 76 are obtained by a measuring circuit 62 and used by a control circuit 60 to adjust the colour of light from a Xenon tube 10 passed by a filter 74. The filter may be a liquid crystal cell or a movable plastics film of ranging colour, and several Xenon tubes may be provided with filters giving different colour temperatures. A calculating circuit 64 connected to photometer circuit 80, 78 determines the exposure time from the brightness of the object 96, and a strobe quenching circuit 56 applies a quench signal to the Xenon tube emission circuit 58 in response to the amount of strobe light reflected by the object 96. <IMAGE></p> |
