A method and a device for treatment of water used for temporary filling of tube systems (1). According to the method the tube system (1) is disinfected, possibly by means of a biocidal water plug (2) being guided through the tube system, the water is filtered (at 5, 6) so that the largest particles therein will be less than 10-20 (my) in diameter; a component containing chlorine which releases active chlorine is added to the water (at 7), whereupon the active chlorine is allowed to act on the water (at 8) until the water is disinfected; whereafter any redundant amount of active chlorine is neutralized by adding a chlorine neutralizing agent, for instance bisulphite (at 10). An additional additive is also used to reduce or completely remove the content of oxygen (at 11), and the water is not supplied to the already disinfected tube system (1) until being treated as described above. During subsequent emptying of the tube system the water may again be neutralized by being treated in the same device as used before the filling-in process. This invention is in particular intended for use in connection with large tube systems for transportation of oil and/or gas. |
