In a restraint (10) for small people, especially children, on vehicle seats, for use in combination with a two or three-point safety belt (11, 12) for adults with a flat, especially convex component (16) secured between the belt and the user as collision protection, the best possible belt position and protection from injury for the user is achieved in that the belt securing means (16A, 16B; 31, 32, 36A, 36B) are arranged on the collision protection (16) in such a way that they become effective between the lap-strap (11) and the shoulder-belt (12) to reduce the distance but also maintain the predetermined belt travel through the three-point fitting of the safety belt. An extension (30) of the component (16) to below the securing means (31, 32) of the lap-strap (11) with at least one central edge recess (28) transfers the force to the user's pelvis and prevents "submarining" when the vehicle abruptly decelarates. |
