PURPOSE:To execute automatically the quality appreciation of software and to attain the quick detection, accurate grasp, etc. of abnormal quality by deciding that the design quality of the software and its testing method are normal when the transition of the number of detected bugs is an attenuation type, and for other types, appreciating that the software is abnormal. CONSTITUTION:The software is repeatedly tested by the plural number of times, the transition of the number of bugs detected in respective tests is checked, and if the transition is the attenuation type, the normality of the software is appreciated. In other cases, the abnormality is appreciated. Although the test (check) of the software is repeated usually several times, almost the same number of items may be checked at random every time. Thus, the quality of design and the abnormality of the testing method can be detected on the basis of the transition type of the number of detected bugs in the testing process of the software, the counterplane can be considered at the initial stage of the testing process and the method can prevent the software from the shipping of low quality and the delay of delivery. |
