Postcombustion device including an outer casing (1), an exhaust casing (18) contained inside the outer casing and including outer (3) and inner (5) annular walls, the outer wall (3) being at a distance from the outer casing (1) and defining with it a main passage for secondary air (25), and connecting arms (6) joining the inner and outer walls, this postcombustion device also including an annular postcombustion wall (8) arranged inside the outer casing while being separated from it by a specific distance so as to provide a passage for coolant air (12) and defining a postcombustion chamber (9). According to the invention each connecting arm includes a casing (23) comprising an upper opening (24) communicating with the passage (25) and comprising a device with openings (26) passing through the downstream wall (27) of the arm (6) and communicating with the postcombustion chamber (9). One application is the production of a postcombustion device which has a high efficiency. <IMAGE>
