A piggy back pipeline saddle which is interposed between a large pipeline (2) and a small parallel pipeline (3) so that the pipelines can be clamped together. The saddle sits on the large pipeline and encircles the small pipeline, strapping (13) is then secured tightly around the large pipeline and saddle. In order to fit the saddle around the pipeline a longitudinal slit (9 or 9') is provided between the exterior of the saddle and small pipeline encircling hole (5). In order to prevent the slit opening out under tension and the strapping working loose the slit 9 or 9' extends in a direction away from the large pipeline seating surface (6) to the top of the saddle or in a direction to one side of the saddle or between the two directions. <IMAGE> |
