PURPOSE:To effectively detect a short-circuit trouble or opening trouble of only one side direction of a bidirectional semiconductor switch element for driving an air supply motor using an induction motor. CONSTITUTION:The air-conditioner comprises an air supply motor 2 using an induction motor, driving means of the motor 2 using a bidirectional semiconductor switch element 11, speed detecting means for measuring the speed of the motor 2 by using a Hall IC 4, and a control circuit 8 for controlling them. The circuit 8 confirms from a speed detection signal of the output of the detecting means that the motor 2 continues a low rotation state, thereby detecting a short-circuit trouble or an opening trouble occurring only in one side direction of the element 11. |
