PURPOSE:To provide a method and a device for forming a gusset which causes prevention of the occurrence of incomplete sealing wing to production of wrinkles on the seal surface of a three-way seal packed substance. CONSTITUTION:A package sheet is fed to a package line in a state that the web 11 of a package sheet is double-folded in a U-shape at the central part in the direction of width of the web or fed to a package line in a state that webs each having a half width of the web are superposed with each other. Three-way seal or four-way seal is executed in a state that a work 41 is contained to produce a three-way seal or a four-way seal packed substance. In the air bleeding device of a so formed automatic packing device, a nozzle 25 inserted in the inside of heat sealer on the one side or the two sides to bleed air at the inside is arranged. A free roller is arranged in a direction extending at right angles with the conveying direction of the web between the nozzle 25 and a cross seal cutter position situated further downstream therefrom, and the roller is brought into a state to always press the three-way packed substance or the four-way seal packed substance through the web. |
