PURPOSE:To remarkably improve the adhesion between a chromium plated steel sheet for laminating polyester for can-making and polyester resin. CONSTITUTION:On at least one side of the surfaces of the steel sheet, a metallic chromium layer is formed as a lower layer, and a carboxylic acid-contg. chromium oxide layer is formed as an upper layer. At the time of producing the chromium plated steel sheet in which, on at least one side of the surfaces of the steel sheet, the metallic chromium layer is formed as the lower layer, and the carboxylic acid-contg. chromium oxide layer is formed as the upper layer, a chromium plating bath or a chromium oxide treating bath is added with 0.1 to 10g/l carboxylic acid, and electrolytic treatment is executed with the steel sheet as a cathode. |
