PURPOSE:To protect auxiliary devices, such as an air cleaner, installed in the vicinity of a muffler body from a thermal damage by reliably shielding a radiant heat from the vicinity of a muffler body connection part. CONSTITUTION:An exhaust gas muffler device 21 for a motorcycle is formed such that a muffler body 25 has a pair of left and right body halves 25L and 25R joined together at a central part and a muffler cover (an upper muffler cover 40) with which the surface of the muffler body 25 is covered is fixed with a gap between a muffler body 25 surface and the muffler cover. In the exhaust gas muffler device, the fixing parts (nuts 41) of the muffler cover 40 are arranged at least in one or more spots at each of the left and right body halves 25A and 25R, and the muffler cover 40 is fixed to the muffler body 25 in a state to be astride the connection part 35 of the muffler body 25. |
