PURPOSE:To provide a spinning lubricant composition containing a lubricating component essentially composed of squalane, excellent in low fuming properties and low friction, capable of remarkably improving the efficiency of spinning and low in environmental pollution. CONSTITUTION:A lubricant composition containing a lubricating component composed mainly of squalane excellent in heat resistance and lubricity is emulsified and the resultant emulsion is applied, e.g. after spinning and before stretching of a synthetic fiber. Since this lubricant composition is excellent in low fuming properties and low friction, it can exhibit excellent properties in a high-speed spinning and, therefore, improve the spinning efficiency. In addition, this lubricant is readily biodegradable and, therefore, remarkably excellent also in environmental safety. |
