PURPOSE:To obtain an effective and safe preventing agent for infection and onset of Newcastle disease (fowl plague) or a therapeutic agent therefor so as to inhibit the infection with the Newcastle virus and propagation of the infection. CONSTITUTION:The objective peptide comprises an amino acid sequence from the glycine residue at the 6-position to the arginine residue at the 11-position in the amino acid sequence expressed by sequence No. 1 in a sequence table and is composed of 6-15 amino acid residues. Furthermore, the objective antibody is derived from the peptide and the objective anti-Newcastle disease agent contains the antibody as an active ingredient.
