PURPOSE:To provide a piezoelectric porcelain composition having a high Curie temperature permitting to use the composition for actuators for high temperature, especially laminate type piezoelectric element for high temperatures, and having a large electric resistivity and a large piezoelectric constant. CONSTITUTION:The piezoelectric porcelain composition has a basic composition comprising a composition of formula: Pb(ZrxTiy)O3 (x+y=1, 0.52<=x<=0.59), 2-10mol.% of the Pb atom being substituted with at least one of Ca, Sr and Ba, containing Sb in an amount of 0.1-2.0wt.% as Sb2O3, and further containing at least one of Mn, Fe and Cr in an amount of 0.01-0.5wt.% expressed in terms of respective oxides. |
