PURPOSE:To obtain anti-human influenzal virus antibody and an immunogenic artificial polypeptide. CONSTITUTION:The objective anti-human influenzal virus antibody is capable of recognizing the truncal region in a hemagglutinin molecule of human influenzal A type viruses H1N1 and H2N2 and having the neutralizing activity but unrecognizing the truncal region of H3N2 and having no neutralizing activity. Furthermore, the objective immunogenic artificial polypeptide has substantially the same antigenicity as that of the truncal regions of the H1N1 and H2N2. This antibody is useful for diagnosing, treating, etc., the A type virus and the polypeptide is useful as a vaccine. |
