<p>PURPOSE:To enable good-quality fermentation of compost by adding 2-oxo-4- methyl-6-ureidohexahydropyrimidine and dried blood to compost. CONSTITUTION:2-Oxo-4-methyl-6-ureidohexahydropyrimidine and dried blood or this compound, the dried blood and a high-temperature alkalophilic bacterium are added to compost and the compost is fermented. 2-Oxo-4-methyl-6- ureidohexahydropyrimidine is known as a controlled release nitrogen fertilizer and the dried blood is known as a nitrogen fertilizer and the former is usually added in an amount of 1.0-3.0wt.% and the latter is added in an amount of 1.5-3.5wt.%. Although period when these components are added is not especially limited, these components can be added at first period naturally deposited as compost or after several months or several years from the period when naturally deposited (similarly also in the case when the compost is mechanically produced) and both components can be added together or at different periods. Furthermore, as the high-temperature alkalophilic bacterium, e.g. Bacillus licheniformis is exemplified.</p> |
