A two-layer packaging dish of foam plastic, the bottom of which has cavities which receive liquids, is known. The cavities are formed by a thermoforming of the lower layer. The process for producing the dish is very complex. The formation of the cavities requires its own thermoforming process. In the case of the process according to the invention for producing a dish for receiving foodstuffs, in particular where liquids are separated out, a web of material for forming the cavities is subjected to varying degrees of compression in different areas. The thermoforming process required until now for forming the cavities is no longer needed. A dish formed in this way preferably serves for the packaging of meat where the juice of the meat is separated out. <IMAGE> |
