PURPOSE:To prevent the destruction of the superconducting state of a superconducting coil caused by the generation of a voltage and heat against a large current by connecting superconductors to each other through thick superconducting films. CONSTITUTION:In this coil composed of oxide superconductors 2, substrates 1, and insulators, the superconductors 2 are connected to each other through thick superconducting films 3. The superconductors 2 and thick films 3 are composed of one or more kinds of elements selected from among (Y, Ba, Cu, and O), (Bi, Sr, Ca, Cu, and O), (Ti, Ba, Ca, Cu, O), (Ti, Ba, Ca, Cu, and O), and (Ti, Pb, Sr, Ca, Cu, and O) and the substrates 1 is composed of a metal, such as silver, gold, hastelloy, etc., or ceramic, such as YSZ, alumina, magnesia, etc. The films 3 are formed on the substrates 1 by thermal spraying, dip-coating, etc. Therefore, deterioration of the superconductors in superconducting characteristics at their connecting surfaces can be prevented. |
