PURPOSE:To improve reliability of analysis result by measuring sample amount before starting analysis and at the time of starting, monitoring sample evapora tion and correcting an evaporation amount. CONSTITUTION:A sampling arm 6 of a sample probe 5 integral with a liquid surface sensor mounted at the arm 6 falls according to a pulse signal to a pulse counting motor 8 for vertically driving the am, and the probe 5 senses a liquid surface. After sensing, the arm 6 rises under the control of a microcomputer. In this case, the microcomputer calculates a height from a bottom of a sample cup 1 to the liquid surface, converts it into a liquid amount and obtains a sample amount V1 in a cup 1 before starting the analysis. Similarly, a sample amount V1 at the time of starting the analysis is obtained. After a predetermined amount of the sample is gathered and reagent is added after the liquid surface is sensed, absorbance is measured. In this case, the amount V1 is compared with the amount V2 by an evaporation amount calculator 13 before starting the analysis and at the time of starting, the evaporation amount is calculated as to the sample decided as V1>V2, corrected as prescribed, and an analysis result is obtained. |
